Devine experience Our whole family (with the exception of my husband because he was studying for an exam) went camping this weekend.  The morning we started setting up camp and it was a lovely busy day.    At 2 o'clock in the afternoon clouds began to rise and heavy thunder began to raw.  Before I could pick up the sail of the Gazebo (not as if it would have help) a Gail force wind of more than 100km / h started blowing.  At that moment my oldest son (7) was at my cousin's camp and I believed he would be safe because they camped in a caravan.  My 6 year old girl was in our tent with my mother.  When the storm broke, the gazebo flipped over the tent,  at that point I tried to hold the gazebo because the tent was attached to it.  With that, the wind began to pick up speed and the hail began to fall.  The wind blew from the west where the tent's opening was.  All I heard was my baby shouting.  The problem was, as soon as ...

Love yourself as God loves you Step 3 - Daily reflexion prayers. Step 3 is on your daily reflexion on your day. It is like writing in a Diary except this diary knows everything.  God wants to hear form you He wants to know what you went trough that day and how you felt.  Not because He does not know but because He want you to acknowledge Him in every walk of your life.  This communication with Him will help you get perspective on your day to day doings - good and bad. Our walk with God in seeking our self through Him   step 2 is speaking to God-minded people. Friends and family can build you or break you.   T his journey to learn to love yourself as God loves you is not easy.   It can be easier if you seek God-minded people.   Make friends at your congregation, ask God to send people to you that will help you to get to know God more. In my last post we spoke about a few practical ways to teach yourself how to start spending time with God. Now the next thing that is important for spiritual growth is Prayer. Prayer is a dialogue with God.  In prayer you can absolutely lay yourself at the feet of Christ and talk to Him.  Pray with passion! In my last post I described how I see the best way is for anyone to get to know and love themselves. lets start with step one and delve deeper in the next few posts. 1.   Time with God. There is an immense shifting in your soul when you start to crave the word of God,  when you start to leave your own needs and wants behind and start to ask God for His will in your life.  BUT believe me it is not easy at first.
